Apple-Cider-Vinegar-Lemon-LR.jpgAre your cabinets overflowing with cleaning products? Did you know common household distilled vinegar can be used for a number of essential cleaning tasks? Here is a list of the seven best everyday uses for vinegar:

1. Neutralize Bathroom Odors

Your bathroom goes through a lot. Dealing with the funky smells usually involves harsh chemicals. However, vinegar is just as capable at neutralizing the odors. Simply add 1/4 cup of vinegar to your cleaning water or mix in a spray bottle and wipe down all the surfaces of your bathroom.

2. Brighten Stained Clothes

White shirts with sweat stains or socks greying from dirt? Vinegar can handle stained clothes. Add a cup of vinegar to a large pot of water on the stove and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat and add the stained clothes. Let them steep overnight and reveal their renewed youth.

3. Revive Flowers

A vase full of vibrant flowers brings a smile to even the most troubled person. However, as they begin to wilt you often wonder how much longer you should hold onto them. Vinegar can revive their wilted presence. Mix two tablespoons of vinegar and one teaspoon of sugar together and add it to their water. Enjoy them for a little while longer.

4. Veggies Wash

Pesticides on your food is known to cause health problems. Make a quick and cheap veggies wash by adding 1/8 cup of vinegar to a pint of water. You can keep this mixture in a bowl and add veggies to soak for a few minutes or pour the mixture into a spray bottle for a longer lasting solution.

5. Carpet Stain Remover

Carpet is notorious for stains but cleaning it is as simple as mixing 1/4 cup of vinegar to a spray bottle of water. Dab the stain with the mixture and scrub with water. Repeat as needed.

6. Foot Soak

Tired and cracked feet after a long day? Pour yourself a healing foot bath by adding one part vinegar to two parts very warm water. A simply way to exfoliate and heal your hardworking feet.

7. Cut Greasy Dishes

Bacon grease and frying oil are not supposed to enter your drains. What do you do with those greasy dishes after a satisfying meal? Wipe out the grease and add two tablespoons of vinegar to dish soap and water. Let them sit for a few minutes and then clean as normal. The vinegar breaks down the grease and your dishes are good as new.

Clean out your cabinets and replace your harsh chemicals with vinegar. It is cheap and will complete these daily tasks for you.
